It’s all about Jesus! There’s nothing else in this world that we should focus our attention on, so that’s why we keep Jesus the main thing. Everything we do is in response to Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
At Bellfield, we believe that Jesus is God. We take Him at His word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness, new life in Him, meaning and significance.
Perfect
Jesus is perfect. Let’s be honest, there’s not a single one of us who could say we’re perfect. In fact, there isn’t anyone we could think of that was, is, or will be perfect. The perfection we’re talking about isn’t a perfect appearance (Isaiah 53:2), but rather leading a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22).
Jesus walked the Earth without ever sinning. That means He walked among us as a man (Philippians 2:5-11) without ever doing something His Father, God, told him not to do. He never said anything His Father told Him not to say and He never had an impure thought (Hebrews 4:15-16). He was perfect in every way (Matthew 5:48). Jesus was God in the form of a man (Philippians 2:5-11) who did something we couldn’t do. We needed to be rescued and we needed someone to lead the way (Romans 7:24-25).
Complete
It is finished (John 19:30). That’s what Jesus said as He drew His last breath on the cross. What He meant was that His life, death, and eventual resurrection three days later, fully finished everything forever. Not once since that day has God pressed the re-do button. He hasn’t thought about wiping the board and starting over. When Jesus died, He completed (John 19:28) the work God had sent Him to do. Through Jesus, we have been made clean (Hebrews 10:10) and for those who are in Christ, sin no longer has a hold on us (Romans 6:6-7), death no longer has its sting (1 Corinthians 15:55). Jesus Christ, Son of God, fully finished forever what we could not do – pay the penalty of sin (Colossians 2:13-14).
Alive
Jesus is alive (Luke 24:6)! He died on the cross (Luke 23:33, 46), but three days later, He rose from the grave (Luke 24:46), conquering death in the process (Romans 6:9 & Revelation 1:18). What does that mean? It means that you and I, upon confessing our sins, repenting of them, and believing in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, can have a relationship with God that lasts forever (Romans 6:3). This isn’t a layaway plan. It’s something for you now that lasts forever. The Bible says that we were dead in our sins (Ephesians 2:5), but through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have been made alive in Christ (Ephesians 2:5).

Here's how:
Step 1: Separation from God
Have you ever thought about your relationship to God? Naturally we want that picture to look good. The problem is SIN separates each of us from God like a brick wall.
The Bible teaches us:
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
Romans 3:23 (NLT)
Step 2: Climbing the Stairway to Heaven Gets Us Nowhere
When people have problems, they often try many different ways of coping before turning to God.
"There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." - Proverbs 16:25 (NASB)
We can try false religions, rituals, rules, and regulations, but they don’t make us right with God.
Sin breaks our close relationship with God. It causes us to fear God and try to live outside His will.

Step 3: Even at the Top, We Find there is a G-A-P
You see, even if we could climb to the top of human goodness, the Bible clarifies that our goodness isn’t enough.
“...No one is right with God, no one at all.”
Romans 3:10 (NIRV)
So, doing good things will not make up for the problem of sin. The greatest problem with sin is what it costs —
“The payment for sin is death…”

Step 4
Here is the Picture
We are all sinners; sin separates us from God, and the payment for sin is death. That makes the gap between where we are and where God is impossible to cross on our own.
What is the solution?
Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." John 14:6 (NASB)
Step 5: The Cross of Jesus Bridges the Gap
What we need is a bridge. Jesus is that bridge. The penalty for our sin was paid when Jesus died on the cross. Through Jesus our sin is paid for, forgiveness is provided, and eternal life is a gift. He rose from the dead so that we might live with Him.
Jesus said in John 5:24, “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.” John 5:24 (NLT)
Step 6: Have You Walked Across that Bridge?
Here’s how:
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 (NASB)
Invite Jesus Christ to come into your life and be the director ("Lord") of your life.
"To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12 (NIV)
Pray a prayer like this:
I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that You died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to You now and trust You to forgive my sin and give me eternal life as a free gift. I give my life to You.
“This is what God told us: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life, but whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
